Merry Christmas and a happy 2008

Good morning :)

Sue & I would like to wish all of our friends and clients a wonderful christmas and hope that Santa was good to you this year :) we had a nice Christmas day with just the 4 of us and a wonderful Turkey dinner which I obviously ate too much of and am suffering this morning, but never mind were off to another lunch in an hour or so !.

2007 has been a fantastic year for us, we completed 43 fantastic weddings and have booked 28 for next year. This is up on last year so we are very much looking forward to 2008. We also did some fantastic Portraits and have decided once again to try to give our portraits a little more time next year, We did launch a new portrait site this year which we both love and its been very popular Our Portrait site.

Our 200 plans

We have some fantastic plans for 2008 which we are both very excited about, We have our media company working on a new giveaway product which is coming along great, we are so pleased with what they did for us this year. We also have some new albums coming very soon which will again add some fantastic additions to our range. We have another new ma pro coming in February/March and once that arrives we will be totally mac which is very exciting and just a little scary :-) All of our weddings have ben stored on mac machines since 2006 so there are no data issues which is good.

I guess our most exciting project is our website, We are currently looking for a new website, although our site is great and unique as we had it custom designed it is almost 4 years old now and technology has moved on so far in that time. We will of course go custom again and almost positively with a USA designer but we have yet to decide, To be fair this site took us a year to decidde and finalize.

Having just extended the studio we have no plans there apart from a coat of paint and a few new wall prints.

We are off to America next week firstly for a wedding photography convention and then a couple of weeks in the sun but we are avalable to contact via email if you have any questions.

So as we move into 2008 Sue & would like to thank you all for a brilliant year and wish you al the very best for 2008.

Monday

Ricky & Clair-Louise @ Minley Manor

This weekend we did our 43rd and last wedding of 2007 and what a perfect way to end our year it was, We were with Ricky and Clair-Louise at Minley Manor and the weather was Brisk :)

We did get a few great outdoor shots before we all wimped out and decided to cuddle the radiators for an hour or 2.

The fun certainly continued inside with great friends and family. Despite Ricky locking my car up we managed to escape around 9pm just as Ricky and Claire-Louise got into there dancing.

All in all it was a perfect end to a wonderful year.

Tuesday

Jolan and Geraldine @ Rhinefield House

After our wet and windy wedding on Saturday we arrived to much calmer weather on Sunday for the wedding of Jolan and Geraldine which was our 10th this year at Rhinefield House in the New Forest. It was a great way to finish off our year at Rhinefield and I am very pleased to Say that our "Aussie Bride" did us proud, we spent much of the day outside which considering the time of year and the fact that a couple of weeks ago Geraldine was basking in 40 degree heat was fantastic.

We started the day with Joe and the boys and then once Geraldine arrived we just spent the day shooting them and there wonderful guests.

Joe and Geraldine are now back in Australia where they will have another "wedding day"

David and Vannesa @ Warbrook House

Wow what a day full of emotions it was on Saturday with David and Vanessa at Warbrook House.

The day started off and remained very wet and stormy but just as we imagined Vanessa did not let that get to her and it was certainly not going to spoil her day, We set off from Vanessa's parents house and arrived at the very quaint (that means small and dark) lol church for what turned out to be a beautiful service.

Then straight onto Warbrook house where we were greeted with lots of bubbly and we had a great time with the guests grabbing some fab shots. We then did our few group shots made all the better because of Davids sense of humor which unfortunately was the same as mine :-) !!.

Then unfortunately Vanessa was taken poorly with a rather nasty stomach bug so things quieted down a bit, we continued with all the guests until Vanessa made her grand return just in time for the wedding breakfast,

We then had a great first dance, well they did rather than we !.

Sue & i would like to say6 a great big well done to Vanessa for battling on through her bug and especially for making her 7am taxi for the Airport.

Everybody had a fab day ( well almost everybody )

Stuart and Loch @ Dartington Hall

Early Saturday we traveled down to Devon to photograph the wedding of Stuart and Loch at Dartington Hall which is an absolutely stunning venue.

Unfortunately due to the weather and timings we missed most of the outside but had a great time inside where the wedding was treated just like a huge family party with a great 50's band and lots and lots and lots of Champagne !

The day started with the guests arriving at Darlington Hall for Champagne ( the first of many ) and Scones - very west country Stuart ! and then we all traveled a mile to dartington Church for a very moody candle lit service which was beautiful.

Then back to the hall for yes you guessed Champagne :). There was a very definite party atmosphere which went on long into the night,

All in all it was a very relazed wedding day.

The staff at Dartington hall were just brilliant, they definitely deserve a mention, well done guys.

Dave and Annette @ The Apollo

This Friday we photographed the wedding of Dave and Annette at The Apollo Hotel in Basingstoke The weather was not kind so we spent the day inside this lovely hotel enjoying the Christmas decorations and various locations.

We had a great time as did all of the guests. Dave and Annette are off on there honeymoon for a couple of weeks rest and to escape this weather.

Our Month !

Firstly apologies for not blogging during November but Sue & I have had our busiest month so far this year, Although we only had 1 wedding we have been all over the Uk photographing various people, We have photographed a couple hundred Children which was fun but tough :) at our one and only Nursery school we do. Bracken place is a lovely nursery school and each year we photograph the children there, we always donate around 10% of the proceeds to there chosen charity and this year like last Sue & I will also donate something as well.

We then traveled to London to Photograph 30 Executives which was even tougher :) than the kids. We decided both times to take the train and I am pleased to say my new iPhone came in very handy.

We have also photographed quite a few portrait sittings which has been fun, We did 2 weddings this past weekend and we have 3 more before Christmas and then our 3 weeks in Florida !!!
